When debutant Amelia Morton steps out for some fresh air at a country dance in her town in Lancashire England, the last thing she expects is to be kidnapped. She soon finds herself on a ship headed to Portugal. Frustrated with her circumstances and the sailor tasked with her safety, she searches for every opportunity to irritate the handsome first mate, Finn.
Through letters written to her mother, she recounts her adventures on board and of the sailor who captured her heart.
Lark longs to interact with the world. As only a spirit, she cannot run through the grass or stroke the bark on the trees. Hardest of all, she cannot touch the hand of her dearest friend, Prince Griffith. When her feelings for Griffith deepen into more than friendship, she is tortured with the knowledge that she cannot be with him. Lark leaves to find a way to become human.
She returns with a solution, but things in the kingdom have changed. Griffith is not the carefree boy she left, but a sober man carrying the weight of the kingdom on his shoulders. Women from across the land of Whelvendow are vying for his affection, and dangers lurk in the forest.
Anxious to help Griffith find happiness again and protect the kingdom, Lark is pulled into a collection of new experiences from attending balls to spying on enemies. Through their adventures, her love for Griffith is rekindled, but she feels inadequate among the beautiful women and fighting the unseen foes.
Can Lark find the confidence and belonging she yearns for and reclaim a place in Griffith’s heart?
And can she stop the conspirators before it is too late?
Megan is a toddler mom during the day and a writer by night. She has tons of stories in her head with many historical romance and fantasy novels in the works.
Her love for writing and stories goes back to her childhood. When she was a little girl, she was often found outside playing make-believe. She was always going on daring adventures, slaying evil wizards, and of course, falling in love with the handsome hero. At a young age she dabbled in writing down her adventures in the many journals and notebooks she collected (a trait she has not grown out of).
When Megan is not writing, she can be found crafting, binding books, or running around the back yard with a busy child and a flock of chickens. Megan lives in Idaho with her wonderful family.
I am co-writing a regency romance series called Dear Sister with my sister, Tia Taylor. It is the love stories of each of 6 siblings in the Barrington family. A lituratrue loving, playful family full of silly situations and adorable love stories. (Amelia will return in the second book in this series.)
I have a 2 fantasy series in the works.
First, a trilogy of fairytale inspired romances.
Next, a trilogy in the same world with magic, epic character, political intrigue, and of course clean love story subplots.
